Learning Center
With the view of expanding the training, retraining and advance training of specialists with ability to organize and perform measures for liberalization and further deepening the economic reforms in tourism in Uzbekistan, the National Scientific and Training Center for Personnel Training in Tourism sphere was established under “Uzbektourism” National Company.Main directions of the Center’s activity include the following:
– Training, retraining and advance training of tourism industry specialists;
– Methodological and information support of the training process;
– Organization of scientific support for tourism subjects with marketing researches;
– Coordination of activity of guides and translators;
– Organization and holding training processes.
At present the Center offers training courses for:
– Guides and translators;
– Tour operators;
– Travel agents with knowledge of foreign languages and computer literacy;
– Barmen, waiters, hotel reception clerks;
– Tourism and hotel business managers;
– Hotel employees.
Center has 5 office rooms, 3 lecture classes, conference hall for large lectures. It has branches for conducting practical classes in Poytaht, Miracle, Shodlik Palace hotels in Tashkent, Afrosiab Palace Hotel in Samarkand, Labi-Hovuz, Bukhara Palace and Salom Hotels in Bukhara. In order to arrange internships for tour operating activities, the Center cooperates with Olympic Tour and “Uzintur” OJSC private tourist firms.
